I've lived half my life on the road like a gypsy
I've got a crush On the world

I've seen with my eyes how inspired the Lord was
On the day He created the world

I've lived half my life on the road like a gypsy
I've got a crush On the world

I've seen with my eyes how inspired the Lord was
On the day He created the world

He made the world His work of art
With His loving hand He molded her with His heart

He took warmth, affection, love and care
And created a world who's beauty is beyond compare

There are times I just stare
At the lady who wears a rainbow in her hair

When she wears wild flowers for a dress
And for hours her lovely fragrant will caress the air

Her children they are lovely bouquets of bright faces
Picked from races of white, brown and gold

The world she's so lovely her makeup is ??? (If you know this word please contact me)
Her chauffeur's the man in the moon

I've been to Spain and Switzerland
Seen Australia, Manila, China, France and Japan

But the more of the world I get to see
It is clearer to me why Rochester is my sweet home

I've been around, I've seen a lot
Still I would say Rochester's my favorite spot

I love Tokyo, Paris, London, Rome
But I love even more the feelin' when I'm here at home

There's such a feeling of peaceful joy
Right here that warms my soul

It's here that the dreams and the hopes
Of our family have come true

Rochester, I love you

Praise the Lord
Rochester, my sweet home
